2021 Golf GTI gets a fashion lesson from Oettinger

German tune-up shop Oettinger came up with a number of stylistic improvements for the eighth-gen Golf GTI. Let’s see what’s on display.

The list opens with a body kit consisting of a front splitter, a roof spoiler, and a rear diffuser. The company claims that all components are made of OEM-quality polyurethane and have been tested in the wind tunnel for efficiency. You can easily install them using mount points, and ordering should become available soon through authorized VW dealerships.

Aside from the kit, the package includes 19-inch wheels with black spokes, but you could also go for red spoke faces as seen here.

Oettinger says it will be releasing a similar range of accessories for the Golf R later on. No performance upgrades are on the list, but you could turn to any of the numerous other shops in Germany for this job, such as RaceChip (see video).
