The GTI Festival on Lake Worthersee isn’t happening this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but Volkswagen still has a treat for all GTI lovers: the Golf GTE Skylight.
Built by practicing students from multiple VW factories, the car wears white with blue accents, original 20-inch BBS CC-R wheels, a rear spoiler, and revised lighting all around. Power is provided by a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine paired up with an electric motor for 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.
The interior is replete with blue accents, too, and there is a same-colored skylight to show for the name of the hatchback.
Elsewhere, the one-off design study sports Bilstein coilovers and dual exhaust finishers printed on a 3D printer.
