Despite its obvious power advantage, the range-topping Volkswagen Golf R doesn’t enjoy as much popularity as its younger cousin, the GTI, does. This is largely owing to the fact that the GTI is more affordable and easier to tune to your liking – like this example from JMS Fahrzeugteile clearly demonstrates.
The owner of the car wanted it to resemble the limited TCR edition, so he had it wrapped in an elegant grey wrap contrasted by gloss-black wheels with red rims. Installed here are Barracuda Dragoon flow-formed wheels sized 19x8.5 inches, an ultralight model that helps reduce the unsprung mass.
Elsewhere, the car wears an Ingo Noak Tuning body kit that included a front spoiler, side sills and a rear diffuser with distinct protruding fins. Rounding off the project are coilovers dropping the ride height on both axles by around 40 mm (1.6 inches).
