Schropp is a name associated in the German car tuning community with custom American cars, but the company must have got tired of dealing with those because it has just released a power boost for the Volkswagen Golf 7 GTI Performance. A simple software tune raised the output by a solid 30 percent.
In case you need a reminder, the previous-gen Golf GTI comes equipped with a 2.0-liter four-pot turbocharged to 230 PS (227 hp / 169 kW). Once reconfigured, it hits the wheels with 301 PS (297 hp / 221 kW). Even more impressive is the torque, which peaks at 480 Nm (354 lb-ft), leaving even the latest Golf R behind.
Other than that, the car shown here has a custom exhaust system, a lightweight carbon body kit and 19-inch Barracuda Karizzma wheels.
