It can be argued that the sixth generation of the Volkswagen Golf GTI still looks dashing today, but there’s no overlooking that it was still designed in 2008. Luckily, JMS Fahrzeugteile has a body kit and a set of wheels in stock for those looking to refresh the exterior of their compact hatch.
The wheels seen here are 19-inch Barracuda Dragoon Flow Forged rims sporting an asymmetrical spoke pattern. Their high-gloss silver finish goes along well with the white body of the car and highlights its inherent sportiness. Each wheel is 8.5 inches wide and takes a standard 225/35 R19 tire. For a bit of eye-catching contrast, the aftermarket shop installs the wheels using bronze Barracuda Racing Bolts.
As for the body kit, it comprises a low-slung front apron leaning towards the Golf R aesthetic and a rear diffuser, both designed by Rieger Tuning. A BMC sports-grade air filter and a BN Pipes exhaust system lend the 16-year-old German compact a juicier soundtrack.
