Owners of Volkswagen’s best-selling hatchback – the Mk8 Golf – have long had access to suspension lowering kits, but there was little on offer for the performance-focused R version. Starting this month, H&R fills in the gap with its fixed-height spring kit.
The new springs fit all Golf R modifications made starting from 2020, including those with adaptive suspension. The lowering amounts to roughly 25 millimeters (1 inch) on both axles. The kit costs €327 to buy without installation.
Aside from just making the car look good, the package should reduce swaying in sharp turns and improve overall handling thanks to a lower center of gravity.
