The Volkswagen Golf R, the Cadillac CT4-V and the BMW M240i are all capable cars outfitted with a turbocharged engine and a four-wheel drive system. If you ever wondered which one was faster on the uptake, SamLegion’s latest drag race test provides the definitive answer.
The Golf R is the obvious outsider with its 2.0-liter turbo four-pot churning out just 320 PS (316 hp / 235 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque. However, it is also the lightest of the three.
The Cadillac inches out a modest advantage with 2.7 liters of displacement, 329 PS (324 hp / 242 kW) and 515 Nm (380 lb-ft) headed for the wheels.
The BMW M240i leads the roster spec-wise with a three-liter inline-six mill pumping out 387 PS (382 hp / 285 kW).
You may probably guess the winner from the specs alone, but which one comes second? You may be surprised.
