The all-electric ID. Buzz minivan will debut on official terms on March 9, 2022, but in the meantime, Volkswagen let us know what it is capable of.
The model will be available as a three-seat LCV and a five-seat MPV. The latter will offer 1,121 liters (39.6 cubic feet) of trunk space, while the former will have nearly four times as much capacity.
A single electric motor will be mounted on the rear axle to drive it with 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 310 Nm (229 lb-ft) of torque, no other options. The battery will be able to store 77 kilowatt-hours of energy, but range numbers remain to be disclosed. The minivan will be capped at 145 km/h (90 miles per hour).
Test vehicles are wrapping up their final tests right now, and the production is set to begin in the fall.
