It has been more than five years since Volkswagen got us all excited with the ID. Buzz Concept, but the electric minivan is finally here in passenger and commercial variants. Production kicks off in summer, so let us look at the specs in the meantime.
The MPV is 4,712 mm (184 inches) long and has 2,988 mm (117 inches) between the axles. It offers 1,121 liters (39.6 cubic feet) of luggage space. In contrast, the Cargo version has 3,900 liters (137.7 cubic feet) of space available.
Both models come powered by a single electric motor rated at 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 310 Nm (229 lb-ft) of torque. The battery is rated at 77 kWh, and the top speed is capped at 145 km/h (90 mph). Nothing has been revealed so far regarding the driving range and other important specifics.
The minibus has an airbag in the middle between the front seats. Dual 10-inch digital dash and infotainment screens are included in the base trim level, and you can upgrade the central display to 12 inches. As one would expect, there is a host of electronic aids listed under options as well.
