Zyrus Engineering, an aftermarket designer of over-the-top body kits for supercars, has tackled the new all-electric Volkswagen ID. Buzz, which was inspired by the iconic Type 2.
According to Radni Molhampour, the director of the tuning shop, daily school and grocery trips will never be boring again with these upgrades. He added that the company had already registered a handful of pre-orders for the kit.
Included in the shipment are carbon-fiber bumpers, side sill extensions and a rear spoiler. The company claims that improved aerodynamic performance might even extend your electric driving range by a small amount. You can choose between gloss and matte finishes for the carbon trim, or alternatively specify it matched to the body of the vehicle.
The full kit costs €11,900. Another €4,999 buys you a set of carbon-fiber wheel rims. Actual deliveries will begin in early 2023.
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz (see video) reached the assembly lines in Hannover, Germany early this summer, but halted in late June due to battery quality issues. The manufacturer never specified who the supplier was.
