The ID. Buzz, an all-electric Volkswagen for families and businesses, has been in production since June and enjoying great demand. The automaker now feels it necessary to diversify the offer a bit to keep the sales high.
The van pictured here has just debuted at the IAA Transportation 2022 in Hannover, Germany, as an ambulance and emergency response vehicle. Co-designed with Bosenberg, it features a classical transmission, runs with zero emissions and carries first response and rescue equipment on board.
The specifics are scarce, and only one exterior photo has been released so far. The standard ID. Buzz model featured in the attached video looks very similar minus the extra lights and livery.
In the meantime, Volkswagen continues expanding its ID. Buzz lineup. The most anticipated novelty right now is the ID. Buzz GTX, a performance van driven by two electric motors.
