Back in October 2022, Volkswagen has shared the first teaser of a powerful ID. Buzz GTX minivan without telling us much. Now, Autocar was able to talk with a VW R&R executive and found out that the vehicle was envisioned with 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) – more than the ID.4 GTX or even the ID.5 GTX can boast.
The executive also confirmed that the topmost spec of the EV would be propelled by dual motors in an AWD setup. By late 2023, it would have gained new paint options and some extra interior features making every interior unique.
Along with the info on the standard ID. Buzz, details appeared relevant to its stretched counterpart. Apparently, this version of the MPV will get a larger battery pack thanks to 250 mm (9.8 inches) of inter-axle spacing. Autocar reports that this long-wheelbase version will be a seven-seater with a few swiveling seats.
