Volkswagen unveils a few more Jetta teaser pics

Just as the new Volkswagen Jetta gets ready to rumble at the 2018 International Motor Show in Detroit, U.S.A., the German car company does all in its power to build up the anticipation. Let’s have a look at these just-in teaser pics of the compact four-door sedan.

As you may see, while the 2018 Volkswagen Jetta does look much more modern than its predecessor, its exterior is still mostly standard VW fare. One funny detail car industry professionals tend to point out is that the front of the urban vehicle looks borrowed from VW Arteon, whereas the rear clearly takes after the next-generation Virtus sedan.

Perhaps more importantly, we may now have a peek inside the car interior. Based on the photos, the “fully loaded” version of Jetta comes with a digital fascia board combined with a sensor-enabled infotainment system.

From the technical point of view, all we know right now is that the newcomer makes use of the MQB platform. Many people expect the U.S. version to ship with a 1.4-liter, 150-horsepower turbo engine.
