The next-gen Volkswagen Jetta has been shown to the wide audience at the annual International Motor Show in Detroit, U.S.A. The 7th generation of the sedan got a facelift and a number of latest features.
The car utilizes the proprietary platform called MQB (otherwise the Volkswagen Modular Transverse Matrix) which is larger than its predecessor but allows for more spacious passenger compartment. With its redesigned LED lights, bold curves, and a new grille, the body now looks more aggressive than before.
Customers will be given freedom of choice as far as the interiors finishing options, and will benefit from nice dimmable lighting in all trim levels. The SEL and SEL Premium trim levels will come with digital dashboards as well as a slew of safety- and comfort-oriented features.
The new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will be shipped with the same old 1.4-liter, gasoline, TSI direct-injection engine with 148 hp. Its retail prices will start at U.S. $18,545.
