Spy photos of a camping-oriented VW Multivan T7 went online yesterday, showing the van driven at and around the North Loop without any disguise on. The full premiere will take place at the Caravan Salon 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany in a few days.
Compared to the standard Multivan T7 (see video), the RV version has a thicker (obviously pop-up) roof and a body that extends slightly farther past the rear wheels. An awning may be included, too.
It seems likely that the California van that will debut at the show on August 25 will be a concept version. Even so, the photographer who made these images claims that the black body of the van looked finalized and ready for production.
The dealerships expect the new model to arrive next spring.
