Lüdix, a lesser-known car customizer based in Japan, has announced an expansion of its business. Starting soon, the company aspires to build bespoke Audi, Mercedes and Porsche vehicles for its domestic clients. In the meantime, let’s take a look at its current portfolio, which consists almost completely of Volkswagen daily drivers.
To be specific, Lüdix specializes in remaking all generations of the Beetle, New Beetle, Golf and Polo. Regardless of which car you choose, it ends up with a rugged body kit protecting the entire lower body, flared wheel arches, a roof rack and auxiliary lighting for nighttime trips into the wilderness. Custom wheels wrapped in Toyo Tire Open Country tires round off the build, resulting in a car with a curiously intermingled Baja/JDM aesthetic to it.
The tuning packages can be ordered as DIY installation kits, or you can ask Lüdix to install everything themselves if you happen to be in Japan. Separate parts are also available for ordering, but unless we are mistaken, the company says it will only deliver them to base body kit owners. There are assorted wraps, decals, spare wheel holders and other handy accessories on the list.
Check out the gallery above to see the tuner’s VW Beetle NB-2 (in matte black), VW Beetle NB-1 (in a forested area), VW Golf VII GNC, and fourth-gen VW Polo, listed in the order of appearance.
