Volkswagen has posted a video highlighting the innovative suspension its new Passat wagon and Tiguan SUV are set to receive. Called the DCC Pro, its main feature is dual-valve shock absorbers.
Every absorber in the package has its own, independent valves for precise compression and rebound control. As a result, the suspension will react more accurately to the peculiarities of the road and the forces exerted on the car body during turns, acceleration and braking.
Volkswagen claims that the innovation will ensure a smoother ride in a straight line while at the same time minimizing rolling in curves. It should improve road safety as well.
While the other details remain to be revealed, it looks like the DCC Pro will be offered as a paid option.
