Volkswagen has introduced the performance version of its Virtus sedan/saloon, essentially a Brazil-oriented derivative from its Polo hatchback. The car should become available in the first quarter of 2020.
The model comes based on the MQB A0 architecture and packs a 1.4-liter TSI rated close to 150 hp (112 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. Not unusually for South America, the engine accepts gasoline and ethanol as fuel.
The exterior traits of the series include a new radiator grille, LED-based headlights, black bumper inserts, redesigned side mirrors, 17-inch wheels, and a miniature trunk lip.
Inside, the dashboard is digital, the front seats boast advanced lateral support, and there are numerous red accents on the center tunnel, steering wheel, door panels, and sills.
