The German company declared, that 3-doors hatchback
will become fully electric model. Such information became known from British
edition Auto Express which refers to the head of research and development department
of company "Volkswagen" Frank Welch.
It is not a secret, that the novelty will be built on
the basis of module platform MEB, modified specially for electric cars. Thanks
to such architecture, it will be possible to maintain the dimensions of car, and
the same time significantly to increase it's internal space. The drive will be
front or rear, or full. It is clear, that electric car has all rights to use
the title Scirocco, because it's design maintained all appearances of original
coupe.
Electric Volkswagen Scirocco will be equipped with the
batteries of several power, the reserves of which will be enough to travel
320-600 kilometers.
