German automaker Volkswagen announced the complete shutdown of the production model Scirocco. In the official appeal posted on the Internet, the company reports that it is now impossible to order this car with individual parameters, to choose from the options already produced.
The history of Volkswagen Scirocco of the third generation totals almost 10 years. The basis for it was the "cart" PQ25 from the fifth "Golf". The hatchback was completed with gasoline and diesel units with a capacity from 140 to 265 horsepower.
However, the name Scirocco will not be erased from the memory of the fans of the German brand. As we reported earlier, the official representative of the company said that under this name will be produced a compact sports coupe equipped with an electric motor. Moreover, the auto giant already has a specially developed modular platform, which was created especially for electric vehicles.
The stock version will receive a 170-horsepower engine. For fans of fast driving Volkswagen will release a "charged" top version, which will be equipped with two electric units. Each of them will "answer" for its axis, and their total capacity will be 300 "horses". The new Volkswagen Scirocco can be purchased with battery packs of various capacities, the stock of which is enough to travel from 320 to 600 kilometers.
