The Taigun (sic!) is the smallest crossover SUV to have ever been designed by Volkswagen, and it shares most of its features and tech with the T-Cross.
The miniature off-roader utilizes the same MQB A0 platform as the Skoda Vision IN Concept also present at the show, and unexpectedly packs a whopping 205 millimeters (8 inches) of road clearance
Powering the Taigun is a 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine good for 130 hp (97 kW). The unit supports partial cylinder deactivation when much power is not needed. The company is currently looking into launching a CNG-powered variant rated at around 115 hp (86 kW), but this remains speculative. Transmission choices boil down to six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT.
The Taigun range should reach the assembly lines in 2021.
