Some call the new Volkswagen T-Roc a Golf on stilts, but in reality, it has little to do with the classical hatchback. The mini-SUV is slightly shorter, but at the same time wider and more comfortable than the Golf. It also boasts a greater ride height – but you wouldn’t see anything like this on this particular, slammed T-Roc.
As you surely understand, you cannot slam a vehicle into the ground like this using regular springs or coilovers. The suspension at work here is definitely Airride, and it uses the Airlift control module to lift the car back to a drivable height within seconds.
Along with the air suspension, the Volkswagen you see here flaunts a set of alloy wheels that look suspiciously akin to those Bentley ships with its Continental GT model. The size is what betrays the forgery: Bentley ships sizes between 20 and 22 inches, while this VW T-Roc has what looks like relatively modest 19-inch rollers.
Wrapping up the changes are the R-Line styling package and faux exhaust tips at the rear.
