The Volkswagen T-Roc and its performance-oriented R version will soon get a mid-life refresh following nearly four years of production, as evidenced by these barely cladded spy shots made not far from the company’s Wolfsburg HQ.
Based on the images, both models will be getting new headlights with integrated DRLs, as well as redesigned radiator grille and air intakes. The white example shown here must be a T-Roc R-Line: note the different rear bumper and a few modified front fascia details. The full-blown R version hasn’t been spotted yet, and is expected to his showrooms in late fall 2022. The R-Line and the standard T-Roc should arrive sooner, probably in spring or early summer.
According to Volkswagen, the next generation of the T-Roc will continue to use ICE engines, while the one after that will be completely electrified.
