The German automotive giant is getting its Taigo crossover SUV ready to rumble, and here are its first spy shots without camo.
The car is based on the Nivus model available in Latin and South America, and is slated to arrive in Europe before the end of the year. The images suggest that it will look the same as the donor version, except only for the radiator grille pattern, subtly retouched lights at both ends, missing roof rails, and reshaped rear bumper.
The Taigo comes built on the MQB-A0 platform and uses LED lights by default, while a touch-based infotainment system and a digital dashboard are only included in the more expensive trims.
The engine range will likely incorporate several gas and diesel turbos. The model should debut this summer and go into production in Spain.
