The German automaker has complemented its lineup of small utility vehicles starting with a âTâ with yet another entry, a crossover named Taigun.
The company showed us a pre-production model last year and has now followed up with a final production car. In essence, the car is a Euro-spec Volkswagen T-Cross slightly tweaked for India. It uses the MQB-A0-IN underpinnings of the Skoda Kushaq and the same assortment of powertrains, including a 1.0-liter turbo three-pot rated at 115 PS (113 hp / 85 kW) and a turbo four-cylinder capable of 150 PS (148 hp / 118 kW).
You can go six-speed manual, six-speed automatic or DCT, but the drive will stay locked to the front axle regardless.
The top trim level features a digital dashboard, an infotainment system with a large display, a multifunctional steering wheel, and sensor-based HVAC controls.
