Feast your eyes on a wild Audi-swapped Tiguan R riding on Bentley wheels

South African tuning company Bodyline attended the last year’s meetup of Volkswagen fans in Germany with a rather unusual-looking, but memorable redesign of the Tiguan R. It has now released the details of the project.

On the outside, the SUV wears a practical and affordable Maxton body kit made of plastic. It includes side skirts, spoilers, a front splitter and a rear diffuser – the usual, really. Where things get interesting is the wheel department. The rims seen here come from an actual Bentley and rely on slammed air-ride suspension to help them properly fit in the arches. The chrome accents all around are no more, and the trunk accommodates a high-end audio system.

Unwilling to call it a day there and then, the tuners removed the stock turbo-four engine and put a superior Audi RS 3 five-cylinder mill in its place. Once properly boosted, it began to output 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) to the wheels – roughly 80 hp (60 kW) more than the old four-pot did. Bodyline points out that no major ECU tuning was necessary – both powertrains are produced by Volkswagen Group and controlled in a very similar fashion.
