Volkswagen Touareg to debut at 2018 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

The next generation model of Volkswagen Touareg crossover, which had initially been scheduled to debut at Shanghai Car Show in spring 2017 and later at the IAA Frankfurt 2018, but failed to show up both times, will finally enjoy its premiere at the upcoming 2018 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

While there are still no official tech data available, automotive experts insist that the new Touareg will make use of the same new-but-already-proven MLB Evo platform the latest Bentley Bentayga and Audi Q7 are built on.

The test mule photos leaked online some time ago confirm that the exterior of the new Touareg takes after the Volkswagen T-Prime GTE concept showcased at this year’s Beijing expo.

The 2018 Volkswagen Touareg is likely to come with 2- and 3-liter gasoline motors, a 3-liter diesel, and a hybrid engine to choose from.
