VW Touareg facelift touches down in Europe

Volkswagen has unveiled the refreshed Touareg SUV lineup for the Old World countries. The model stays nearly the same from the technical standpoint but gains a design update and new equipment, including matrix headlights. Prices start from €69,200.

The new headlamps with L-shaped elements constitute the main exterior novelty. The tailgate gets a brake light strip, and the bumpers, the radiator grille and the wheels also look different, among other things.

The interior has the same basic layout with two displays, but the infotainment system benefits from a software update. The USB charging ports on board now support faster speeds, and the trim materials have been improved throughout.

Like its earlier versions, the 2024 VW Touareg can be obtained with petrol and diesel six-cylinder engines. The top spec is a 3.0-liter six-pot assisted by an electric motor for 462 PS (456 hp / 340 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.
