The second-generation Volkswagen Touareg (make: 7P) is quite an impressive car in and of itself. Powered by a V8 diesel engine with 340 hp (254 kW) and an impressive 800 Nm (590 lb·ft) of torque, it accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 5.8 seconds. Not a bad result for a car that weighs 2.3 metric tons (5,000+ lb).
Someone in Mcchip-dkr apparently thought that the German SUV has everything it takes to become a true supercar – except a little bit of extra power. To compensate for this, the atelier has developed a Stage1 power kit that boosts its stock engine to 384 hp (286 kW) and 860 Nm (634 lb·ft).
The upgrade essentially boils down to the installation of an engine firmware update and provides for no further measures. A Stage 2 kit, if it ever gets released, is going to take advantage of this and bring the performance to levels well above 400 hp (300 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb·ft).
