Volkswagen has held an online event where it announced the release timeframes for the seventh-gen Transporter van and the new Amarok pickup.
The T7 will only debut as a passenger van when it arrives in June; those interested in purchasing a commercial variant will have to consider getting a T6.1 instead. A hybrid version will be added to the lineup with so far undisclosed characteristics. Rumor has it the van will use a 1.4-liter IC engine and a single electric motor for 242 PS (239 hp / 178 kW).
The truck will arrive in 2022 based on the latest Ford Ranger platform.
