Engineers Polestar in conjunction with the racing team
Cyan Racing developed a new carbon aerodynamic body kit for the Volvo S60
sedans and V60 wagon. With its help, the clamping force of cars will increase
by about 30%.
The aerodynamic carbon body kit consists of the front
splitter, the lining on the body sills, the rear spoiler and diffuser. Plus,
the cars were equipped with 20-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport
tires measuring 245/35. And in order to personalize each model there will be, a
special plate with the serial number of the limited series will of the modified
cars.
In total, Polestar specialists have changed about 250
elements of the Volvo S60 and V60. Rear springs were installed, which are more
than 80% stiffer than before, adjustable shock absorbers from Ohlins,
six-piston brakes from Brembo and a reinforced carbon front strut extension.
Under the hood of both models will be a 367-strong
turbo-quater in volume of 2.0 liters. Transmission – eight-band automatic.
New aerodynamic set will receive 1500 Volvo S60 sedans
and the same number of Volvo V60 station wagons.
