Volvo keeps pumping up hype around the upcoming all-electric version of the XC40. This latest video focuses on the digital dashboard of the compact SUV.
The Swedish marque emphasizes the principal ways in which its EV differs from conventional ICE-powered cars. For one, there is a solid front panel with the brand logo where the radiator grille usually resides. For another, there is an additional 30-liter luggage compartment under the hood, made possible due to the compactness of the electric powertrain.
The new XC40 will ship in eight colors, including the all-new Sage Green available with a contrast black roof. It will also offer a choice between 19” and 20” wheels.
The big reveal of the Volvo XC40 Electric is scheduled for October 16, 2019. Among other things, the model is advertised as the marque’s absolute safest vehicle to date.
