The team of CarNewsChina has got its hands on spy photos of a still-unannounced, battery-powered Volvo minivan scheduled for launch in Q4 2023. Despite a full-body wrap, it is easily recognized as a rebadged Zeekr 009 (see video).
Like Zeekr, the Volvo brand currently belongs to Geely Group, so the parallels aren’t unexpected. The two have identical bodywork with the bumpers and the lighting being the only visible differences so far. It is also safe to say at this point that both are running on the same platform called SEA.
At roughly 5.2 meters (17 feet) long with 3.2 meters (10.5 feet) of wheelbase, the minivan is shaping up to become Volvo’s largest so far. In all likelihood, the seating formula will be 2+2+3.
As for the powertrain, the new MPV could be using the same electric system as the Zeekr 009, rated at 544 PS (536 hp / 400 kW) and 686 Nm (506 lb-ft) of torque.
