Swedish manufacturer Volvo has released a teaser video dedicated to a concept car with a somewhat odd model name “360c”. Judging by the LED “whiskers” and “fins”, the vehicle can go fully autonomous.
While Volvo never explicitly says it in the video, it nevertheless strongly hints that the car will be self-driving. “Could time spent travelling become time well spent?” it asks.
Rumors say the vehicle will get an all-electric drivetrain, but the system will still imitate the sound of the engine.
No further information about the new Volvo 360c is available.
The Swedish company has been researching self-driving technologies for many years now. In a statement issued earlier this summer, it said that the next generation of the Volvo XC90 would come equipped with an SAE Level 4 autonomous driving system – although you will only be able to activate it on certain roads.
