Volvo will introduce its smallest electric vehicle so far – the EX30 – on June 7, 2023. Pre-ordering will become available on the same date, but in the meantime, check out a new official teaser pic and a bunch of patent images.
Rumors that a low-end Volvo EV was coming to the market started as early as the fall of 2020, but the media said the car would be called ‘XC20’. In March 2021, Volvo officially confirmed working on a small crossover SUV like that, but never provided any technical details. In fact, there are still none.
Based on the pictures here, the EX30 is going to resemble the range-topping EX90 (see video) – at least, with its nose and tail styling. The profile view reveals a completely different car.
According to unconfirmed sources, the Volvo EX30 will be based on Geely’s SEA platform.
