Volvo has shed some light on its EX30 compact electric SUV set to premiere on June 7, 2023. Apparently, it will be no less safe than some of the company’s largest SUVs.
Among other things, the EX30 is set to receive a stiff frame made from high-tensile steels, an extended set of airbags and some high-tech safety aids. For one, the system will warn anyone trying to open one of the doors if a cyclist is approaching.
The car will also use cameras to track the driver’s face motions and conclude how much attention they are paying to the road. Finally, the emergency brake system has been improved to perform better on intersections.
