There were times when people in Europe used to associate the Volvo brand with affordable cars for secondary school students. These times are past, and the car marque now gives off more of an Apple vibe – clean and laconic design, uncompromising build quality and materials, and quite a bit of sporty chic. So it should not be surprising that German aftermarket suspension company H&R decided to release a lowering kit for the Volvo V60 estate/wagon.
Once installed, the new springs bring the vehicle 30 mm (1.2”) closer to the ground in front and 20 mm (0.8”) in the rear. Aside from just making it look better, the upgrade improves steering at higher speeds.
A full H&R spring kit for the model costs €293 and is compatible with both the 2WD and 4WD versions of Volvo V60. Twin Engine and Cross Country are not supported so far, nor are any non-standard suspension types.
