In an earlier news, we reported that the facelifted Volvo XC60 received Google Services support. Now, a number of 90 Series models have joined the list with new infotainment systems based on Android Automotive OS.
It has been several years since the Swedish automaker signed a cooperation agreement with Google, but up until recently, Android with Assistant, Maps and Play Store features had been available exclusively for the electric SUV XC40 Recharge, the coupe-shaped C40 Recharge and the facelifted XC60.
The list now also includes the S90, V90 and V90 Cross Country. All three support over-the-air updates for the OS, software and services. They will also come equipped with wireless smartphone chargers.
Buyers will have to subscribe to the Volvo Digital Services Package in order to gain access to the features listed above. In addition to them, the refreshed 90 Series will get new equipment and driver aids later in 2021. The details will be announced later.
