The Swedish car marque will be unveiling its all-new, still-unnamed electric vehicle early next spring – and it shapes up to be a luxury item.
The car will utilize the same CMA platform as the company’s first EV, the XC40 Recharge P8 AWD featured in our gallery and the video here.
Volvo CEO says the vehicle came out “very beautiful” and more upmarket than its XC40-based sibling. This implies that it will cost more than 700,000 Swedish Krona ($82,235 USD).
As for the XC40 Recharge P8 AWD, the battery SUV utilizes a dual-engine setup rated at 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque. Its 78-kWh traction battery grants it up to 400 kilometers (248 miles) of range on a single charge.
