Volvo has facelifted its XC60 SUV, landing it with moderately refreshed looks and Google services support.
The XC60 is a Car of the Year and sells like hot cakes, so it should not come as a surprise that changes were kept to a minimum. The front bumper is new, the radiator grille sports a different pattern, and buyers can now choose from a few new colors and wheel designs – but that’s about it.
The main novelty comes in the form of the updated Sensus infotainment system, which now runs on Android and supports the same Google services as the electric XC40 Recharge. The services come as a part of the Digital Services package available on a subscription basis. To us, the main highlight is a system called Volvo ADAS, which ensures active safety through the use of numerous sensors, radars and cameras.
Other than that, the interior stays stock except for a new synthetic upholstery that replaces leather.
The production will start in late spring. The Volvo XC60 is the single best-selling premium mid-size SUV in Europe, and enters the top five best-selling vehicles of its category worldwide.
