Automaker Voyah has started taking orders for the 2024 Dreamer minivan. The exterior and the cabin styling is the same, while both powertrains get upgraded. Live sales are set to begin on October 12 from 369,900 Yuan, CarNewsChina says.
In its hybrid version, the Dreamer gets two main e-motors and a 1.5-liter petrol engine acting as a range extender. The output to the wheels amounts to 571 PS (563 hp / 420 kW) and 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque, letting the bulky MPV hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in as little as 5.9 seconds.
The all-electric version benefits from a new 43-kWh traction battery giving it up to 236 km (146 miles) of CLTC-rated range with an empty gas tank. Topping up the tank will extend the range to 1,231 km (765 miles). The manufacturer-rated fuel consumption averages out at 5.36 liters per 100 km, or 43.9 miles per gallon in North American units.
Like its hybrid cousin, the Dreamer EV uses two e-motors, but their combined output is dialed down to 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft). On the other hand, the battery size amounts to 108.73 kWh, letting the van cover 650 km (404 km) per charge.
According to the publication, the 2024 Dreamer has received more than 4,000 pre-orders within its announcement day.
