2024 Voyah Free revealed, costs substantially less than the original

Car manufacturer Voyah has facelifted its crossover SUV named Free. According to CarNewsChina, the hybrid ‘EREV’ spec now starts from a low 266,900 Yuan, a massive discount compared to the original 333,600 Yuan.

New exterior features include a more aggressively styled front bumper, a different radiator grille and revised headlights. There is a pronounced rear spoiler in the back and no chrome trims anywhere anymore.

Inside, the transmission tunnel looks updated and houses two wireless charging pads along with cupholders. The transmission selector sits on the steering wheel column, and while some hardware buttons have been displaced, they all remain.

For now, customers in China can only pre-order a range-extender hybrid version of the Voyah Free. Like we said above, it is called EREV and drives the wheels with two electric motors. The one at the front makes 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW) and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque, while the one at the rear churns out 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW) along with 720 Nm (531 lb-ft). Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 4.8 seconds, and the top speed amounts to 200 km/h (124 mph).

The battery is provided by CATL and holds 39.2 kilowatt-hours of charge, which is only enough for 210 km (130 miles) of range per charge. However, filling the gas tank to the max increases the range to 1,221 km (758 miles).

The pre-facelift version of the SUV had a similar powertrain, but couldn’t cover more than 960 km (596 miles) without refueling.
