Voyah has unleashed a long-range variant of its crossover SUV named Free on the market of China, which starts from 393,600 Yuan (~$56,000) and offers up to 730 km (453 miles) of driving on a charge.
According to CarNewsChina, the vehicle is 4.9 meters (16 ft.) long with 2.96 meters (9.7 ft.) between the axles. In its new version, it rides on 20-inch wheels and has three displays inside. The seats come wrapped in natural leather, and the multimedia system runs on a Huawei OS.
Dual motors in the powertrain join their efforts for 490 PS (483 hp / 360 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. The car reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in 4.4 seconds. The new battery is rated at 106.7 kilowatt-hours, making it 21% larger than the old one. Maxing out on range is possible if you maintain an average speed of 60 km/h (37 mph) most of the time; in a more realistic scenario, the manufacturer-rated range is 630 km (391 miles).
