WEY announces a smart SUV

Chinese automaker WEY will be unveiling a flagship SUV model on January 20, 2021, that will take advantage of the latest Qualcomm 8155 chipset.

The display car still wears thick disguise, but the company assures us it comes equipped with a LIDAR and an SAE Level 3 self-driving system – the first of its kind in China. It will be able to accelerate, brake, and keep and change lanes on its own on suburban roads. In turn, the Qualcomm CPU will ensure smooth performance of the infotainment system and give it voice command recognition functionality.

In December, WEY started sales of its Tank 300 body-on-frame SUV, which you can have a look at in the attached video.
