The hybrid SUV known as the Tank 700 Hi4-T will make its show debut in Guangzhou on November 17, reports Car News China referencing Tank Brand CEO Liu Yanzhao’s post on Weibo. The executive attached a couple of sketches of the production car to his post.
The original Tank 700 Concept was previewed at a Shanghai Auto Show a couple of years ago (see video). In summer 2022, multiple pre-production SUVs have been spotted testing on public roads. In January this year, a patent application was submitted to the Ministry of Industry database along with some photos and specifications. It only described a petrol version of the SUV, though, not the hybrid one.
The new sketches suggest that the Tank 700 Hi4-T will have a distinct front bumper with new air intakes and radiator grille design. An earlier spec leak claimed it would be 5,090 mm long, 2,061 mm wide and 1,952 mm tall with 3,000 between the axles. The plug-in hybrid powertrain is based on a 3.0-liter V6 engine and rated at 517 PS (510 hp / 380 kW), with the peak torque at 750 Nm (553 lb-ft).
