The Aishang A110C is being marketed as an ultra-compact RWD electric city car primarily aimed at the young people. It is already in production and should become available for ordering in a few days, CarNewsChina claims.
Aishang is an automobile sub-brand recently founded by Wuling Motor Holdings for the Chinese domestic market. Its firstborn EV is categorized under microcars and should have no trouble becoming a best-seller like the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV did before. That one is being produced by the SAIC-GM joint enterprise.
Sized 3,285 mm (128.3 inches) long, 1,708 mm (66.7 in) wide and 1,550 mm (60.6 in) tall with 1,980 mm (77.3 in) of wheelbase, the A110C is slightly longer than the Hongguang Mini EV, but its wheelbase is slightly shorter.
All interior photos are pending. The only thing that’s official right now is that the A110C is a four-seater.
For the propulsion, the tiny battery car relies on a single e-motor pushing its rear axle with 48 PS (47 hp / 35 kW) and 83 Nm (61 lb-ft) of torque. A 17.65-kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery pack delivers up to 220 kilometers (136 miles) of CLTC-rated range. Once out and about, the Aishang A110C will compete against the likes of Chery Little Ant or Geely Panda Mini. We expect it to cost about the same as them, too, but this remains to be seen.
