One version of the all-electric Xpeng G6 coupe has already obtained all the necessary certificates in China, but more versions should be added to the lineup later on.
AutoHome is reporting that the new G6 will only be available with a single electric motor rated at 298 PS (294 hp / 219 kW) for the time being. In the future, it will get a higher-end powertrain with 487 PS (480 hp / 358 kW) at the output end. Upgraded like this, it will reach a top speed of 202 km/h (125 mph).
The exterior of the car will be styled in line with other Xpeng models, with the main apparent difference being the body shape. As for the driving range, the manufacturer has yet to supply the data. What we know is that the battery units will be adapted from the Xpeng G9 (see video). That model can cover up to 700 km (435 miles) on a single charge, NEDC-rated. Thanks to its smaller size, the G6 could prove even better in this regard.
