The all-electric version of the Xpeng P7 debuted in 2019 and has now been updated on its domestic market of China.
Exterior changes are few and far between, but there are important ones in the mix. These include new, much smaller headlights leaving enough space for two front-mounted LiDAR sensors. The manufacturer claims this innovation greatly helps the autopilot on board, which is set to reach Level 3 sometime in the future.
Other than that, the facelift brings around new wheels and revised exterior shades. Inside, the novelty boils down to a dual-spoke steering wheel, front seats and center tunnel. The displays stay the same size, but the underlying hardware is new.
The RWD variant of the Xpeng P7i enjoys a tune from its original 267 PS (263 hp /196 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque to 276 PS (272 hp / 203 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft). In turn, the AWD top spec now makes 472 PS (466 hp / 347 kW) and 757 Nm (558 lb-ft), a substantial improvement over the former 430 PS (424 hp / 316 kW) and 655 Nm (483 lb-ft).
