Zeekr has started the sales of its new long-range model of the 001 liftback. The car originally debuted two years ago and shipped with 86- and 100-kWh batteries to choose from. The new top spec makes use of a much larger 140-kWh power pack.
As a result, it has an impressive 1,032 kilometers (641 miles) of all-electric range. For perspective, the 100-kWh version has what the manufacturer estimates as 741 km (460 miles) of range. The important thing to note is that all these measurements were made in accordance with China’s CLTC standard commonly regarded as overly optimistic. The real numbers may be substantially lower.
Zeekr points out that the longest-range 001 model has a single motor on the rear axle and drives it with 272 PS (268 hp / 200 kW), as well as 343 Nm (253 lb-ft) of torque. The wheels in this spec are basic 19-inch rollers.
Prices for the model start from the equivalent of $57,300 in China.
