Geely-owned car brand Zeekr has announced plans to expand its presence in the Middle East, Car News China reports referencing agreements signed recently with representatives from four countries. The company has also begun its operation in Europe and is hoping to be present in eight countries before the end of the year.
Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons Group will be Zeekr’s official representative and dealership network partner in Bahrain. AW Rostamani Group will handle the market of the UAE, Wallan Group will distribute the cars in Saudi Arabia, and Blue Lake Motors will take on similar duties in Qatar.
What specific cars will go on sale available first and when remains unannounced. Zeekr currently has three models in its portfolio – a liftback named 001, a minivan known as 009, and a crossover SUV called X.
The Chinese marque’s first foreign markets were Sweden, Netherlands and Germany. The Zeekr X is already on sale in Europe starting from €44,990, while the 001 is available from €59,990. Distribution partners also exist in Israel and Kazakhstan.
